Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy

Trio Therapy Partners provides physical and occupational therapy services to individuals and specializes in the use of equine movement and other strategies as part of a patients comprehensive plan of care. By skillfully directing equine movement, each patient's neuro, sensory and movement systems are positively affected and engaged. Integrated with additional neuro/sensoriomotor techniques, equine movement is an effective treatment tool.

Common systems targeted by therapists are motor, sensory (including vestibular/balance), nervous and cognitive (including speech/language). The limbic, circulatory and respiratory systems are also positively affected.

An individual receives 2,000 organized, rhythmic, repetitions of three-dimensional movement when astride a horse that takes 100 strides per minute. Equine movement can be an excellent strategy for a variety of diagnoses and impairments including but not limited to; Traumatic Brain Injury, Spinal Cord Injury, Stroke, Multiple Sclerosis, Parkinson's, Cerebral Palsy, Developmental delay, Spina Bifida, Down's Syndrome and Autism Spectrum Disorders. Currently, Trio has employs both a Physical and Occupational Therapist that offer services.
