Amanda Moody

Founder and Occupational Therapist

Amanda earned her Bachelor of Arts degree (Psychology) from the University of Redlands in 1992, and her Master of Science degree in Occupational Therapy from Colorado State University in 2000.  Living and practicing in a rural community since obtaining her degree has offered Amanda diverse experience as an Occupational Therapist.  She has had the pleasure of facilitating optimum function and wellness across the age spectrum from birth to end-of-life and settings, within homes, acute and long-term care facilities, outpatient clinics, schools, and the community.

In 2009, after several years practicing in the home health field, serving both adult and pediatric populations, Amanda chose to develop her expertise as a pediatric therapist and founded Mountain Kids Therapy Services, LLC.  A home and community-based pediatric practice specializing in early intervention for children aged birth to three years old, encompassing school-aged children who have lived with moderate to severe developmental delays.

In addition to her skills as an Occupational Therapist, Amanda is an avid horsewoman and firsthand believer in the profound healing power of horses and the equine environment. Returning to the practice of hippotherapy (2001-2003) as a co-founder of Trio Therapy Partners has been a natural next step for Amanda. An integral part of Trio Therapy Partners, Amanda provides consultation and expertise in equine management, child development, community resources, and the field of Occupational Therapy for our clients and therapists.

Amanda is passionate about providing community-based services and the enhanced naturalistic therapeutic interventions equine-assisted activities and therapies provide.  Amanda completed her Level 1 Treatment Principles course from the American Hippotherapy Association.
