Board of Directors
- Terri Allender
- Terri moved to the Vail Valley in 1974 to be a ski bum! She decided to go to graduate school in 1988 to become a mental health counselor. She practiced for 25 years before retiring in 2016 and specialized in children and family therapy. She grew up loving horses and rode when she could, although I have never been a horse owner. Most recently she exercised a horse for a friend at Cordillera Equestrian Center for about 1-1/2 years. She has also been on three non-profit boards: The Colorado Association for Play Therapy as treasurer for five years, The Eagle Vail Community Garden (again, as treasurer) and helped co-found the Vail Valley Art Guild for which she also did a stint as treasurer. She first heard about Trio Therapy Partners through her yoga studio in Eagle and felt the program would be a great fit for her skills and her passion for horses and helping children and families. She began volunteering in January of 2019 and has always looked forward to her volunteer days! When Lauren and Amanda asked she could serve on the board, she was honored and delighted. Terri has been searching for a way to use her skills to contribute to her community since retiring and this is a perfect fit.

- Kristin Davis
- Kristin holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Colorado, Boulder. All of her work experience has been in supporting others to become the best version of themselves; from working with homeless families, inmates incarcerated with the Colorado Department of Corrections, individuals on probation and to students with special needs. Her knowledge and experience of equine therapies is a bit unique. Her twins were born in 2003, at just 26 weeks gestation. Needless to say the road to health for them was long and challenging. Her son was in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit for seven months and his mobility was limited. Upon his return home, her family worked with occupational therapists and physical therapists, but he was not able to walk by the age of two years. She decided to try something that did not exist in the community which was hippotherapy. This experience was amazing for her family. In time her son was able to walk. Her family found that use of a horse in therapy was fun and the hard work did not seem so difficult for her son.
Once her children were in school, she decided to change her career path from being a probation officer to working with students with learning and physical challenges. She now has spent the past seven years working within Eagle County High School District primarily with high school students in the Careerx program.

- Nicole Marcorelle
- Cole started volunteering with Trio in 2019, having always believed strongly in the horses ability to heal mind, body and soul, Trio has become near and dear to her heart. Originally from a small coastal town in MA, Cole started riding when she was 10yrs old. It was clear from her very first lesson that she had to find a way to make sure horses were always a part of her life. Attending college in RI, Cole received her undergrad in fine arts with a concentration in Graphic Design. After graduation in 2007 she moved out to CO. Her first job when she moved to CO was guiding trails for Beaver Creek Stables. Ten summers of guiding, teaching lessons and taking care of horses was a true dream job. She also spent winters as the admin for children’s ski school in Vail. Never able to sit still long, Cole has also spent time teaching art at Alpine Arts, exercising horses and guiding trails at a private ranch, and now currently works full time as the Health and Safety Coordinator for Beaver Creek mountain, and part time as the assistant wedding planner for Snapdragon Celebrations. With the remaining hours left in her week, Cole feeds her creative side by working in her shop, creating silver jewelry for her jewelry business, Whiskey Hill.
